Helicopters
Helicopters are versatile aircraft that achieve lift and propulsion with rotating blades, unlike fixed-wing aircraft. They can take off, land vertically, hover, and fly in any direction without a runway. Key components include the main rotor, tail rotor, and airframe, with the main rotor providing necessary lift and thrust. Powered by piston or turbine engines, helicopters have been crucial in emergency services, firefighting, military operations, and transportation. Their ability to reach remote areas and perform complex maneuvers makes them invaluable. Modern helicopters vary in size and configuration, enhancing their appeal and driving innovations in technology and design.
